Little known fact, I used to work in Public Relations, and I absolutely loved it because I learned so much more than I ever thought I would and I would not trade that experience for anything. I also made some great relationships as well so when my old PR colleague contacted me about shooting with Ms. Lalah Hathaway, I was happy to oblige. If you don't who Ms. Hathaway is, you must be living under a rock because this soulful beauty is a powerhouse and has the most angelic voice. She's also the daughter of the legendary Donnie Hathaway who was an AMAZING musician and soul singer.
This mini promotional shoot took place in a small dressing room at the Black Girls Rock taping which is held annually at NJPAC, but you would never know it because we treated it like it was a full blown photography studio. Meeting Ms. Hathaway was such a pleasure because not only is she super sweet and so down to earth but she's also hilarious and kept me laughing the entire time we were shooting. This was an amazing day that I'll always cherish.
